Who may join SHATA?
Any professional leather or nylon worker and suppliers to the industry may join.

How much does it cost?
Yearly membership dues are $38.00 for individual shops and $75.00 for suppliers.

What can SHATA do for me?
SHATA is an internationally recognized trade association that gives its members solidarity with other members in the leather and nylon trades.

SHATA is able to provide its members with the information they need to do better business,such as locating sources for materials, tools, equipment, and services.

SHATA can also assist its members in establishing advertising programs and conducting basic market research. In addition, the Association has the equipment and expertise to provide our members with low-cost design and  production of flyers, logos, catalogs, and advertising.

What are SHATA’s long-term goals?

Some of our established goals are:

    * To enhance the image of our trades by promoting standards of craftsmanship and conduct

    * To establish a library of equipment manuals and other materials relevant to our trades

    * To sponsor instructional seminars and trade events throughout the year
